Red Moon Resources Inc. is an Industrial Minerals Company Located in Newfoundland and Labrador
Why Invest in Red Moon Resources
Red Moon is an industrial minerals exploration and development company which is developing the Ace Gypsum deposit, Captain Cook salt deposit in Western Newfoundland and the Black Bay Nepheline project in southern Labrador.
Red Moon is managed by a seasoned professional team experienced in mining, business management, engineering and geology. The team is devoted to responsible mineral exploration discovery and development.
THE INVESTMENT LEVERAGE
Industrial Mineral development is generally a lower geological risk activity than precious and base metal exploration. If a project can meet commercial viability, cash flow can be generated relatively quickly compared to base metal development.
Red Moon’s projects are relatively benign from an environmental perspective because they do not involve any chemical processing in their development and production. These materials are used in everyday household goods such as glass, wallboard and food. Favourable infrastructure near ports, roads and electrical power will assist with the commercial viability of the projects.
ACE GYPSUM PROJECT
The Ace Gypsum project is located in the dormant Flat Bay gypsum mines approximately 3 km southwest of the Captain Cook salt deposit. The company has obtained a mining lease from the government of Newfoundland and Labrador to reinstate mining at the Ace Deposit covering a starter area of 12 hectares. The company estimates, based on internal evaluation of drilling data and the company’s field geological investigations, that the proposed Ace mining lease area has the potential to contain 3 to 5 million tonnes of gypsum/anhydrite of commercial grade.
BLACK BAY NEPHELINE PROJECT
The Black Bay Nepheline property in located in southern Labrador. Nepheline is an industrial mineral and a source of aluminum (Al2O3), sodium (Na2O) and potassium (K2O) used primarily in the manufacture of glass, ceramics, extenders and fillers. The property consists of a surface occurrence of nepheline syenite along the southern Labrador highway. The project is located approximately 6 kilometers from tide water. The Blanc Sablon, QC airport is a 90-minute drive from the property.
CAPTAIN COOK SALT PROJECT
The Captain Cook Salt Project covers 922 claims and 23,050 hectares in the Bay St. George Basin of Western Newfoundland. The Project is accessible by multiple paved roads including the nearby Trans Canada Highway and two deep water ports. Red Moon completed a National Instrument 43-101 compliant Mineral Resource Estimate on the rock salt deposit in 2016 which confirmed an Inferred Resource (at 95% NaCl cut-off) of 908 million tonnes of salt at 96.9% NaCl. The project has currently moved to the feasibility stage.
